North Cyprus has a Mediterranean climate with long, warm and dry
summers from mid-May to mid-October and
mild winters fromDecember to February. During
the winter time in North Cyprus, you should
be prepared for mild winter weather. The evenings are much cooler
than during the day. We recommend you bring light winter wear for
during the day and a warm coat for the evenings.
Spring and Autumn in North Cyprus are usually pleasant times of
the year. At this time you can feel comfortable wearing light
clothing, although temperatures tend to fall in the evenings and so
a light jacket may be necessary.
Between the months of February and March,
occasional rain can be expected and evenings can sometimes be
chilly. Daytime is often warm and sunny. March is a spring period
in North Cyprus and we advise you to wear light winter clothes with
medium-weight. Between April to May, there are many warm days to be
enjoyed. Again, temperatures do decrease at night and so a light
jacket may be necessary.
During June,
July and August you should
be prepared for hot summer days with cloudless skies and
temperatures reaching up to 40° C. Very light summer clothing
is recommended. Sunglasses, a hat and sun protection cream are all
must-have items. Tourism is at its highest during these
months. In the months of September, October and November,
warm days with chilly evenings can be expected. Light-weight
clothing for the day and medium-weight clothing for the cool
evenings in October will be ideal. In November there are usually
pleasantly warm and sunny days. Wear medium-weight clothing with
additional warmer wear for the evenings.
